Web 2.0時代是提供一個『以使用者為中心』之互動互利的創新應用模式，使用者透過blogs和SNS的合作技術導致人們可以透過網路增長與其他社群知職的分享與彼此間的交流因而拓展網路社群間的關係。Blog以服務個人化為主，其使用的內容較不固定且不完整，但SNS是有分類的，社群的服務對象是某一種組織所能提供的功能「功能型社群」，社群服務則是利用專業知識、議題討論、功能提供等利用人際網絡解決問題的服務，內容方面較不固定但通常會圍繞著一個主題在進行討論，服務方面較無個人化服務。Blog是第一大華人blog提供者，SNS是中國最大且最受歡迎的SNS( 大學生only ) ，且都有 small-world and scale-free的特點。
