Web 2.0與Web1.0不同的地方是在於應用上更強調互動性，提供如桌面端應用一般的使用經驗，而不僅只靜態的網頁而已，透過網路提供blog、新聞發表、照片與影片的共享機制等，而企業端也可透過Web 2.0的技術來協助精神障礙者工作上的訓練或提供這樣的平台讓精神障礙者在專業技能上有所貢獻。
